This piece is called "Summer Storm". I used a reference photo from a trip to Vermont where storms were rolling in. With this piece, I tried something different from my typical use of local color.....a complimentary palette of just purples & yellows. I wanted to really emphasize the storm clouds and the remaining sunshine just prior to the arrival of the wind and rain.
